Until you are able to choose to evolve, you are likely to continue facing the same challenges throughout your personal and professional life. They may show up differently, but as long as you remain the same, freedom will likely feel far away. Appointing a coach is a powerful signal that you are ready to create change in your life. That you are ready to choose yourself.

 

This process is not about me doing something for you. This is about me helping you (re)discover how to become the steward of your life and take meaningful steps toward what you want. It’s more about dissolving problems rather than solving them.

Working with me

I have guided coaching trajectories with clients around career transitions, overcoming self-sabotage and finding greater life purpose. I’ve supported clients in various journeys from losing weight to beating anxiety and overcoming addiction.

 

Whether you’re moving away from pain or toward pleasure, the tools I offer will likely get you there faster and with less resistance.


My coaching style is influenced by my previous professional experience, personal experiences and formal training, most importantly:

 

  • 6+ years of experience in consulting / corporate finance

  • 5+ years living abroad as an expat

  • Technical and practical training in clinical hypnotherapy, including continuing education

  • Integrative health practitioner training under acclaimed naturopathic doctor and best-selling author Dr Stephen Cabral

  • Intensive coach training received through Elementum Institute, founded by master coaches Christine Hassler, Stefanos Sifandos, Alexi Panos and Preston Smiles

  • Breath work, cold exposure and mindset training obtained through the Wim Hof Method Academy

 

I fuse together the knowledge and experiences I have obtained to offer an integrative mind-body offering. Most challenges cannot be attributed  to the needs of the body or the mind in isolation, and that is why I am passionate about offering you a truly whole-istic approach.

 

Many of the concepts I bring to the coaching table may be new to you, therefore people who are open-minded and willing to try on a new perspective will thrive best with me. I offer the utmost care and compassion to every client, giving my all and going the extra mile when it comes to researching issues I have not seen before. While I care deeply for every life I get the privilege of looking into, tough love is one of my most important tools and I am willing to challenge you when I feel you need it.

Frequently asked questions

What does a coaching session look like?


Coaching sessions are planned for 90 minutes, but usually last somewhere between 75-90 minutes. Unlike many other coaches, I work in a very intuitive manner and prefer to keep our sessions less structured, addressing issues as they arise for you and providing additional follow up outside of the session where required.




Do you offer in person coaching or only online?


Coaching sessions are only available online.




Is it possible to do a payment plan?


Payment plans may be made available in the event you are unable to make one up-front payment. Please request this during our clarity call or send me an email at anne@annevandergiessen.com.




What is your coaching experience?


I have worked with coaching clients from all walks of life and from diverse age groups – from people in their 20s to people in their 60s. My clients work across private equity, banking, consulting, entrepreneurship, marketing, retail and beyond. One of my key strengths is versatility and my ability to meet someone where they are at, relating to the specific challenge(s) at hand.




Is your coaching style more like therapy as compared to traditional coaching?


The work I do with my clients has a therapeutic effect. And due to the action-oriented nature of my work, my clients generally acheive fast results. I work with clients to support them in overcoming more discrete issues as well as providing more ongoing structural coaching services; external support to assist along their personal and career journey. The key thread which runs through all of the work I do with my one-to-one clients is focusing on both the emotional and relational elements, with practical application. As humans, for us to experience balance and ease in life (as opposed to imbalance and dis-ease), we need to understand our internal reality as well as how we relate to others. Relational elements are important not just in our personal relationships but our relationships with colleagues and clients and how we handle situations such as conflict resolution and negotiation. The tools my coaching clients gain in working with me will help them in creating a better understanding of their emotional terrain, build emotional resilience and enhance their ability to be able to move forward in various areas of life effectively through self-management of their well-being on many levels.
